Help & Support

Description

Help & Support posts are the individual questions and answers behind the FAQ modules. Each post is one question, and the categories assigned to it decide which lists it can be pulled into.

These are stored in the help post type, which is the same thing as the help-support source you will see referenced in the Loop Grid and Dynamic Posts widgets.

How to edit

  1. In WordPress admin, open Help & Support.
  2. Create or edit a post. The post title is the question as customers will see it.
  3. Fill in the fields below.
  4. Publish, then check it on a page using the relevant FAQ section.

Fields

FieldField nameRequiredWhat it does
Elementor content?elementor_contentYesDefaults to No. Answer No for a normal question and answer, and the answer field below appears. Answer Yes when the answer is built as an Elementor page instead, and the answer field is hidden because the content lives on that page.
Help Categorieshelp_categoriesYesThe categories this question falls under. Pick as many as apply.
Faq's and noteshs_faqs_and_notesNoThe answer. Only appears when Elementor content is set to No. Add the copy without any styling of your own, as it can conflict with the templates.

Categories and tabs

Categories make a question available to a module, but they do not place it anywhere on their own:

  • On the tabbed FAQ sections, the tabs come from Elementor's Tabs widget and you pick the questions for each tab by hand. Filtering by category in the widget's Query settings only narrows the list you are choosing from.
  • On the internal links section, each accordion item is filtered by category, so the category does decide what appears.

See FAQs for more detail on how each variant is put together.

Useful Forms

The Useful Forms lists are filtered on a Document type value of form, combined with the QMC or QC category. Document type sits outside the Help and support fields, so if a form is missing from a list, check that value on the post.
